When we decided to start Latency Labs we had one key concept.

We wanted to solve the problems we had as analog photographers.

The most reliable options for buying film in Vancouver are professional stores that are open during the hours we worked our day jobs. These are wonderful full service camera shops, but didn’t work for our schedule.

Ironically, we didn’t want to turn to buying film on the internet (and here we are, selling film on the internet!). We wanted to avoid anonymous big box stores and create a Local-Online hub for photography in the Sea to Sky and Vancouver areas.

And that’s how we arrived at our weekend delivery. Buy online, don’t pay for the shipping and we will bring your film to you on Sundays. One day a week delivery service keeps costs down and allows us to deliver via bicycle (a locally Squamish-made cargo bike no less!).

The best part? As we grow we want to extend this pick up and drop off model into processing, scanning and printing. But we can’t get to this end goal without the support of other locals like you.
